Well baby clinics

These clinics are run by our health visitors. No appointment is necessary. They happen at Langley Health Centre on Thursday 09:30 to 11:30

Baby Vaccinations happen every Wednesday 14:00 to 16:30

Maternity Care

There is an antenatal clinic at the health centre every Wednesday morning with the doctors and midwives in attendance. There are also two midwife led clinics.

Postnatal examinations are carried out with newborn baby checks on Tuesday morning.

Family Planning

This is available at the health centre which is delivered by our trained nurses and doctors. We also offer intra-uterine device insertion and removal as well as nexplanon.

Please note that routine requests for contraceptive appointments should consider expiry dates of devices and whether patient has adequate supply of pills to ensure continuity of contraception.

Requests for appointments for emergency contraception will be dealt with that day and face to face consultations provided where possible.

Please book an appointment with the practice nurse for a routine pill review.

Consultation for advice about termination of pregnancy will be available within a few days; more information in the RCGP position statement on Abortion.

Diabetic Clinic
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Multi-disciplinary care for both insulin and non-insulin dependent diabetics.
Asthma Clinic
Held weekly to help in understanding and self management of asthma and in the proper use of treatment devices. Attendance is recommended at least once a year. Contact a practice nurse for details.
Cervical Smears

We strongly recommend all women between the ages of 25 and 65, who have ever been sexually active, to have a cervical smear every three to five years dependent on age. Please call on the appointment line to book these.

If you have a recall it very rarely means anything serious. Usually it is because you have a minor infection or your smear shows inflammation that requires to be observed until it settles down.

Wart Clinic
Monthly to treat warts and other small skin problems. Appointments after being first seen by a doctor.
Well person check
By appointment with practice nurses. To promote health and to screen for certain conditions including male/female health checks, blood pressure and weight reduction.
Influenza Vaccination Clinic
Usually held in October and November every year.
Smoking cessation
There are clinics specifically for this. Please contact reception for further details.
Minor Injuries

The Minor Injuries service at the Bracknell Healthspace, London Road, Bracknell, RG12 9RT, can help with a range of minor injuries such as sprains and strains, broken bones, minor burns and scalds, minor head and eye injuries, bites and stings.

Open every day from 8am to 8pm including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Bank Holiday Monday and New Year’s Day. X-ray services are available 6 days a week (Sunday to Fridays, not available on Saturdays).

Mental Health Support

We understand it is a difficult time for many. If you are feeling worried about your mental health there are number of services available, visit Mental Wellbeing | Frimley Health and Care.

If you are in a mental health crisis, you call 111 or text Shout to 85258. Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre
Langley Health Centre is an approved Yellow Fever vaccination centre. Anyone can make appointments to have this vaccination for travel. You do not have to be registered with this practice. There is a fee for this vaccination.
Minor Surgery
Minor operations for minor skin lesions (moles, small lumps etc) are performed by our doctors after they have been assessed for suitability and an appointment has been made.
Treatment Room
Our treatment room is run by the practice nurses and is used for routine blood tests, minor surgery, ECGs, dressings etc. By appointment.
Social Prescriber
We have recently introduced a social prescriber who supports patients to access help for problems which may lead to anxiety and stress. It could be through contacting other support services, signposting or advocacy on their behalf. Common problems are domestic abuse, threats of homelessness, loneliness & isolation, mobility issues and problems with debts and benefits.
Talking Therapies
Are you feeling low? Do you find it hard to stop worrying? You may benefit from support from Talking Therapies – a free NHS service supporting adults 17+ in Berkshire suffering from a variety of difficulties including stress, low mood and worry. Travel Vaccinations and Non-NHS Services

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to make an appointment with a nurse. This initial appointment must be at least 6 weeks before you travel.

Before attending your first appointment, please complete this Travel Questionnaire and submit it.

The NHS does not pay for all of the services we provide, so patients may be required to pay for some of these services. Our fees are in line with BMA approved national guidelines.
